Once you click it, you will be shown an option to Call the Police. Selecting the option will initiate a call to your local police station and also connect you to Uber's Incidence Response Team (IRT) that works 24 ⁄ 7 to assist you with any emergency. The IRT is alerted with your trip details and contact information, so that someone can immediately reach out to you and track your ride.
Remember, in extremely urgent situations please reach out to 100 directly, or call an ambulance.

Step 1. Fire up your app and scroll up to find the EMERGENCY option .
Step 2: On clicking the EMERGENCY option, you will see an option to Call the Police. Once you select it, you will be shown a confirmation screen .
Step 3: Once you call the police, you have an option to continue to reach out to the Police or to disconnect the call .
Step 4: If you disconnect the call, Uber's Incident Response Team will call you and your driver back within few minutes.
Please note that the Emergency option should only be used when you’re in a difficult situation. For any other assistance, you can raise a feedback via the Help section of your app and Uber's team will reach out to you.
